Resgistration for PESA ASEG SPE YPP SA Mentoring Program 2020

Building on the success of previous Joint Programs, PESA SA/NT, ASEG SA/NT and SPE SA Section are offering a collaborative Mentoring Program in 2020 to provide an opportunity for Early Career Young Professionals (YPs) to obtain local support in their career development from experienced professional members.
The Mentoring Program is designed to facilitate face-to face mentoring sessions through which industry insights, knowledge and experience are shared to foster the professional and personal development of mentees.
The 2020 program will be launched in February/March 2020 and will conclude in November.
Throughout the duration of the program, mentees and mentors are expected to commit to a minimum of six sessions, informally arranged by individual participants.
The program is open to current PESA SA/NT, ASEG SA/NT or SPE SA members only.
Who can be a Mentor?
Mentors should have 10 or more years of industry experience and be willing to commit to a 8-9 month program consisting of six mentoring sessions on a voluntary basis. Mentors must be a current professional member of either PESA SA/NT, ASEG SA/NT or SPE SA.
Who can be a Mentee?
The Program is primarily designed for Early Career YPs. Mentees should have 6 months to 10 years of industry experience, or be undertaking postgraduate studies in geoscience or petroleum engineering. Applicants must be willing to commit to a 8-9 month program consisting of six mentoring sessions. Mentees must be a current member of either PESA SA/NT, ASEG SA/NT or SPE SA.
How much does it cost to participate?
Mentors and mentees accepted into the program will be requested to attend the program launch/ briefing in February/March 2020 and closing event in November 2020. Participants will be expected to pay for the entry cost to the event on the day.

Successful applicants will be notified by January 31st 2020, following determination of mentee/mentor pairs.
